The department of Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy(DVL) was inaugurated on February 2021 in this institution.The Department of DVL offers out-patient and in-patient care for all diseases affecting the skin,hair,nail and also offers special care for venereal diseases and leprosy.The department runs speciality clinics to provide consultation & treatment for occupational dermatosis, pediatric dermatology, vitiligo,psoriasis,bullous disorder,contact dermatitis and drug allergies.Patients requiring day care and admission to the hospital are admitted to the 10-bedded DVL Ward.
The following facilities are available for patients:
6 weeks ( in 3 sessions, 2 weeks each, during their clinical years)
Theory lecture classes taken by faculties for Undergraduate students as per NMC curriculum.
Aim: At the end of their posting students should be able to recognize and treat common skin conditions.

We have treated multiple patients successfully with significant improvement in diseases like severe acne, severe psoriasis,pemphigus vulgaris,erythroderma, toxic epidermal necrolysis through personalized treatment plans provided by the department, leading to a noticeable boost in their self-esteem and quality of life, often achieved through a combination of topical medications,parenteral medications and proper skincare education provided by the dermatologists.

On this day of event leprosy awareness speech was delivered to the public and students,and pledge was taken by all in a mass gathering.
